SHORELINE WATCH
Would you like to help protect and serve your community? You can provide an extra set of eyes and ears
for your neighbors, be a safe contact for children and the elderly, and serve as a local resource.
To start a *Shoreline Watch in your neighborhood, or for more information or to volunteer, speak with Sergeant Bruce Bartlett at 206-801-2713 (bruce.bartlett@kingcounty.gov). There are generally 5-15 households at a Shoreline Watch meeting. The police can also meet with large groups, if desired. It takes just one start-up meeting, which you can schedule on a weeknight at 7 p.m. The meeting usually lasts one hour.
You pick a date and location for the meeting (private home, or at a location listed on the City website). Hand out or email invitations to your neighbors, with an RSVP. Then contact Sergeant Bartlett and request an officer for your informational meeting. A two-week notice is preferred.
In addition to the Shoreline Watch program, the Shoreline Police are involved in the community in many fun ways. It is suggested you check their website (http://www.cityofshoreline.com/government/departments/police-department) for more information on Neighbornood Center programs
The main office for the Shoreline Police is at 1206 North 185th Street, northeast from Gateway Plaza.
* (What used to be called "block watch" is now "Shoreline Watch".)
